Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.
CYCLEMETER by Abvio
This is an excellent app if you want to track your workouts. I downloaded this when I started my weight loss and fitness journey last year. I use it for cycling, walking, running, and anything else that I want to record. It keeps all of your workouts, syncs to DailyMile, and posts to Twitter and Facebook. The coolest thing is that once you start a workout, it will post a notice to Twitter, Facebook and DailyMile (if you choose for it to do so) and then when people comment or reply, Cyclemeter will actually speak the comment to you. Talk about motivation! It’s awesome. It also allows your spouse, or significant other, to track your progress in Google maps, so if your “dot” stops moving they can know something is wrong. I HIGHLY recommend this app or any of the sister apps, Runmeter or Walkmeter.
The secret of success is constancy of purpose.
When I decided to start running, I turned to Bluefin Software and their “Couch To 5K” app. Since then I’ve used their “Bridge 2 10K” app, the “Hall Higdon Half Marathon” app, and the “Hal Higdon Novice Full Marathon” app. These apps are great for taking you from a couch potato, like I used to be, to a marathoner, like I am now.
