My Fitnes Pal
This website and mobile app is a great tool to assist you in losing weight and watching calories. I started using this app at the end of July after I plateaued with my weight loss. Once I started tracking my calories I realized where I could make some changes in my diet. And it helped kick-start my weight loss again. You can also interact with other members and track your exercise. It’s a great tool in your health and fitness arsenal. To learn more click on the picture.
The Power of Spinach
This was another one of the first steps that I took when I began changing my diet. I incorporated Spinach into my diet. I would include it in my omelet, use it in place of lettuce for salad, put it on sandwiches, and even throw a handful in my protein shakes (I call them the “The Green Monster”). Why Use An Oil Mister?
Here’s some great advice from nutritionist @JoyBauer on why using an oil mister can be good for you. Having watched cooking shows for years I always thought I was being super healthy by using Olive Oil when I cooked. Then I realized how many calories I was consuming. After I had that realization I switched to using an oil mister. you can find them in most home stores. I use the Pampered Chef mister.

CYCLEMETER by Abvio
This is an excellent app if you want to track your workouts. I downloaded this when I started my weight loss and fitness journey last year. I use it for cycling, walking, running, and anything else that I want to record. It keeps all of your workouts, syncs to DailyMile, and posts to Twitter and Facebook. The coolest thing is that once you start a workout, it will post a notice to Twitter, Facebook and DailyMile (if you choose for it to do so) and then when people comment or reply, Cyclemeter will actually speak the comment to you. Talk about motivation! It’s awesome. It also allows your spouse, or significant other, to track your progress in Google maps, so if your “dot” stops moving they can know something is wrong. I HIGHLY recommend this app or any of the sister apps, Runmeter or Walkmeter.
